Music Department

The JSU Department of Music offers high-caliber programs for students seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree in Music or Music Education, as well as those who would like to pursue a minor in Music. The JSU School of Fine and Performing Arts is within the College of Liberal Arts. As a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the Department is comprised of a deeply committed community of performers, educators and scholars, dedicated to enriching the academic journey and musical training of JSU students.

F. D. Hall Music Center
The Frederick Douglas Hall Music Center, constructed in 1976, contains offices and classrooms for the Department of Music. A small recital hall is located in this facility, as well as practice rooms, studios, and an art gallery.
